Pipe Extrusion with Fiber Laser

Beam Shield created for Pipe Extrusion line.  A fiber laser is installed and integrated marking an identifying code on the pipe extrusion.  For this application we used a dual circuit interlocked door which disables the laser when open.  Operators open the door to clean the laser final output lens.  Some of the additional safety features include an input and output sensor tied into the laser's safety circuit.  The laser will only mark when the pipe extrusion is present coming in then past out of the enclosure.  Also the extrusion is riding on an encoder wheel.  The laser only marks when the pipe is present spinning the wheel with friction.  A viewing window with the proper optical density is installed .
